"5 Stars — Truly Above and Beyond. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Kelvin from Sand and Sun Electrical. I was at Home Depot trying to buy a voltage meter because a piece of equipment at my business had broken down. I had no clue what I was doing. Out of nowhere, Kelvin walked up to me and asked if I needed help. From that moment, he went completely above and beyond. He took the time to listen to the problem, helped me figure out what I actually needed, and then literally followed me back to my shop to help troubleshoot the equipment. Because of Kelvin, we were able to diagnose the issue and get the unit running in time for business the next day. He didn’t have to help me. I wasn’t even one of his customers when he approached me. He simply saw someone who needed help and stepped in. Kelvin was truly a godsend that day. His knowledge, patience, professionalism, and willingness to help a complete stranger says everything you need to know about the kind of person he is and the type of company Sand and Sun Electrical represents. If you’re looking for an electrician who is knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely cares about helping people, call Sand and Sun Electrical and ask for Kelvin. They’ve definitely earned my business and my highest recommendation."
— Dr. Andrew Reed · Verified · Aug 2026"We hired Kelvin to install a Tesla charging port based on a rave review from my sister. He exceeded all of our expectations — he is beyond professional — smart, polite, fair and a problem solver. He made sure that his work site was pristine and that we understood how to use our equipment before leaving. Outstanding service in every way! I would hire Sand and Sun Electrical again for any household project."
— Shannon Dowdall · Verified · Jul 2026"Kelvin was very, very polite and very responsive in his communications. He installed a hardwired ChargePoint charger and a floodlight camera and cleaned up the installation area in 3 hours. He even was willing to answer and take a look at an unrelated electrical issue we have in the house. I highly recommend Kelvin (Sand and Sun Electrical) for his professionalism and quality of work!"

Straight answers from a master electrician — no runaround, no upsell.
If we’re mounting it directly behind the panel, the cost is $500. If the charger isn’t going directly behind the panel, we’ll need to measure the distance to give you an accurate quote — just call or text and I’ll walk you through it. Information is free.
If we’re mounting directly behind the panel, it takes approximately an hour to complete.
If you send me the square footage of your home and a photo of your panel open — so I can see the breaker sizes and panel labels — I can figure that out for you!
Yes — the Powerwall 3 is generally compatible with most existing solar installations through AC coupling. It works with major inverter brands including SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, Fronius, and others certified to UL 1741. I’ll evaluate your current setup to make sure everything integrates properly and recommend the right configuration for your home.
1000%! I recommend 3 expansion units — that way you’re safe from a power outage for a couple of days. But definitely at least 1!
No, we do not purchase the SPAN panel, Powerwall 3, or the EV chargers. This is the client’s responsibility. We handle all the installation work.
A SPAN panel is a smart electrical panel that replaces your home’s traditional breaker box. It monitors and controls every circuit individually through an app — so you get live energy data and can turn any circuit on or off remotely. SPAN makes the most sense if you have or plan to add solar, a battery, or an EV charger. It extends battery backup by intelligently shedding non-essential loads during outages and lets you prioritize which rooms stay powered on the fly. If you just need a straight panel swap with no plans for solar or battery, a standard panel does the job for less money. SPAN installation requires a certified installer — and we’re SPAN-certified.
Depending on the distance and number of circuits, it’s usually done within a day!
Yes, I recommend adding a surge protector to any home that wants to keep their appliances and electronics safe from damage related to lightning strikes!
I install the wiring for backup generators, but not the gas hookups — you’d need a plumber for that portion of the job.
Yes! This is definitely in our scope of work!
Yes, we install all types of ceiling fans regularly. Installation takes approximately an hour.
No, we only install them. The customer provides the fan.
I cover the entire West Valley and Phoenix metro area — Goodyear, Buckeye, Surprise, Litchfield Park, Sun City, Scottsdale, and beyond. If you’re not sure whether you’re in my service area, just call. Information is free.
Yes. I’m a master electrician with over 26 years of experience, dual-licensed in Texas (Master License #390232) and Arizona (ROC #343455). Fully licensed, bonded, and insured.
Just call or text me — I’ll ask a few questions about your project and we’ll set up a time for me to take a look. For most jobs, a few photos of your panel and your address are enough to get started. For larger projects like SPAN panel installations, I’ll typically recommend a brief in-person site visit to confirm code requirements and service capacity. Information is free — you’ll get an honest assessment and a clear quote before any work starts.
Yes! If you are a first responder, senior citizen, or teacher, there’s a 10% discount — just bring proof of your profession and a bill showing the residence is yours.
My prices are definitely fair and reasonable. I usually come in under my competition’s prices because I don’t have the overhead that larger companies do — and that’s a win for the customer.
I offer a 2-year warranty on all work performed. But really, as long as the client and I are alive, I warranty anything I put my hands on!
Yes! No matter what day or time, if you need me, I’m there to assist!
When you hire Sand and Sun Electrical, you’re working directly with a master electrician who owns this business and puts his name behind every job — not a salesman followed by a different crew. I don’t price-gouge, and I don’t upsell work you don’t need. If a smaller fix solves your problem, that’s what I’ll recommend. What I quote is what I charge. I’m licensed, certified, and equipped for the work homeowners are investing in right now — EV charging, solar, battery backup, SPAN smart panels — plus full residential and commercial electrical service. I treat every customer like they’re my only customer, and I treat your home like it’s mine. That’s not a gimmick — it’s how I’ve built this business for over 26 years.
Whether it's an EV charger, a smart panel, a Powerwall, or a ceiling fan — give Kelvin a call. No pressure, just straight answers from a master electrician.
